LIS Technologies is developing CRISLA, a patented U.S.-origin laser process for enriching uranium and stable isotopes, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
CRISLA uses infrared light to excite only the molecules of the isotope we want. Excited uranium-235 is kept from condensing in a supersonic jet, so the isotopes leave in separate streams. First shown in 1993, it is now being re-demonstrated in our Oak Ridge test loop.

One laser platform, two markets: enriched uranium for nuclear power and stable isotopes for medicine, semiconductors and quantum.

Low-enriched uranium for the existing fleet, and HALEU for small modular and advanced reactors.

A Pilot Plant targeted around 2030, then an LEU-3 facility of up to 5.0 million SWU a year.
Our sites sit on the footprint of the K-25 gaseous diffusion plant, built for the Manhattan Project in the 1940s.

Utilities, reactor developers and isotope users can reach our team in Oak Ridge.
